cfx_imageInfo is a C++ CFX available at
http://www.intrafoundation.com/freeware.html which does this. There are
lots of other similar tags available via the MM developers exchange or you
want an OS independent version, I have a Java CFX based on the free and
open-source ImageInfo class by Marco Schmidt (
http://www.geocities.com/marcoschmidt.geo/image-info.html ) which I can
mail you off-list.
