Running OpenSuse 10.3, with latest version install from OpenSuse build service
("X11:XGL" repository, the official recommended way to install it on OpenSuse,
located at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11/:XGL/openSUSE_10.3 and
linked to from the Suse wiki). I believe I installed compiz nearly first-thing
on a fresh *distro* install and this happened.
Sorry for the delay in replying. Hth.

Sure thing, here it is... it's odd though: my PrintScreen key seems to be
registering as NoSymbol! Never noticed this...
KeyPress event, serial 29, synthetic NO, window 0x4800001,
root 0x1a5, subw 0x0, time 2825936505, (-8,944), root:(1181,970),
state 0x0, keycode 111 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XFilterEvent returns: False
KeyRelease event, serial 29, synthetic NO, window 0x4800001,
root 0x1a5, subw 0x0, time 2825936577, (-8,944), root:(1181,970),
state 0x0, keycode 111 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XFilterEvent returns: False
If this does not help diagnose the problem, I can try to apply some such patch
and build Compiz, if you could link me to the appropriate resources &
dependencies. I'd rather do so as a last resort though, since I decided that
Compiz was worth using even if I had to push super+alt whenever I needed to
access a menu =), and I'm just a bit worried about messing up my graphical
login environment / breaking repository dependencies / etc. I'm willing to help
though if necessary.
