Mats Ahlgren <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Component|-Unknown |Core Product|Compiz Fusion |Compiz Version|git HEAD |git master --- Comment #18 from Mats Ahlgren <[email protected]> 2009-02-14 22:50:33 --- After much sleuthing, I finally figured out the problem ( with help from http://forum.compiz-fusion.org/showthread.php?t=5898 ). ------------- analysis -------------------- Bug: Using unix 'xmodmap' command any time before Compiz loads will destroy alt key functionality. My situation was that I was calling it from my .zshrc. I think this will also happen if someone has a .Xmodmap file in their home directory which is automatically called. The quick and dirty workaround is to, under no circumstances, let your setup call 'xmodmap' before Compiz. ------------------------------------------- Please help fix; this is a 2-year-old bug (just happened to report it 1 year ago). Status should probably be 'confirmed' given the large number (5+ Google hits) I've found on this very bug. Thanks very much for your dedication to an amazing piece of software. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.opencompositing.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.compiz-fusion.org/mailman/listinfo/dev
