--- Comment #6 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-06-01 12:28:39 --- (In reply to comment #3) > I have nvidia and 'Sync to Vblank' has fixed all my tearing problems so far. > This patch won't be accepted because it defeats the purpose of 'damaging a > particular area' that a lot of plugins use and causes VERY high CPU usage > Is there a mecanism for the moment which can guarantee the vertical synchronisation when moving a window for example? For a solution, what do you think of this (maybe I say stupidities) : - compiz has a buffer, where it draws "only the area which has to change" (the rest of the buffer stays unchanged) - then, it copy this buffer to the buffer which is read by gpu to be vertical-synchronized So compiz doesn't need to redraw the entire screen... (maybe that is already what happens, I don't know) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.opencompositing.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.compiz-fusion.org/mailman/listinfo/dev
