It can't do it at the moment, but it's been my intention for a while. I'll
see if I can't implement it over Christmas. The code is certainly
structured with different tracking modes in focus.

It definitely belongs in Compiz, since we've already got code to track the
mouse and that doesn't require any extra dependencies, unlike caret
tracking, which would require AT-libraries.

The applications switchers, at least the standard switcher should be
doing this now. Guillaume recently patched the GTK window decorator, so at
least that should announce what it's about to do. If it doesn't, it's a bug
of some sort.

As for the other decorators, they should do it too, even if they don't
know. It's probably better if we fix this in Compiz / Decorators than
trying to work around it in your application, though. It should function
identically to Metacity.
