A backup/export of my compiz profile
I built compiz from git last night. It is currently 0.7.9.
It worked well, but just earlier I restarted (not for the first time since
rebuilding), and Thunderbird and CCSM windows have become "psuedo-sticky".
Basically, what happens is that whenever I launch CCSM or Thunderbird, the
icons appear as if they're sticky. If I launch Thunderbird and it's on
workspace 3, I can see the icon on workspace 1 2 3 4 5 etc. The window itself,
however, remains on the original workspace.
This only appears to affect Thunderbird and CCSM windows.
The following are facts that I have been able to determine:
When I first start X/GNOME, if compiz is started automatically, then this
happens. If I don't start compiz, there is no problem.
If I start compiz automatically, then the problem happens. If, however, I run
compiz automatically, then start ccsm, then run metacity --replace, the window
reveals itself to actually be sticky. Both the icon and the window appear on
all workspaces.
If I start compiz automatically, then launch CCSM, and right click the icon,
the option "Only on this workspace" is selected. If I check "Visible on all
workspaces", it becomes truly sticky. I can switch back and forth, and the
window itself switches, but the icon is always visible on all workspaces no
matter what.
On a workspace where the icon is present but the window itself isn't, a window
preview doesn't pop up for that window. When I launch it on workspace 1, the
preview works on workspace, but not 2 or 3, for instance.
Restarting my computer completely doesn't change anything.
Session saving is disabled, and I tried disabling the session management plugin
for compiz and that had no effect.
Thunderbird and CCSM don't start automatically. They aren't in my GNOME session
auto-launch list.
Since I have rebuilt it from git, I don't get that handy script to launch it. I
start compiz with the following command: "compiz --replace ccp --loose-binding
--sm-disable --ignore-desktop-hints &", as I've been instructed to do in the
IRC channel.
I'm attaching the exported compiz profile.
