Why is it in WORKSFORME status? I'm using Ubuntu Hardy and I wanted to use a second monitor rotated vertically to read and edit documents. I found out that with metacity everything was OK, while with compiz the rotated screen did not refresh (apart from mouse pointer) and I couldn't use it. I searched on google and I found that it is a problem that many users have reported, with no solution. Indeed, the patch posted in this page is for compiz 0.7.0, but I am using compiz 0.7.4 and the problem is already there!!! I applied the same patch to compiz 0.7.4, and now my rotated monitor works perfectly!!!
