The Place Windows plugin can be configured with several placement modes which
apply to all windows. These modes include: Smart, Cascade, Maximized, and
Centered. However, when setting the placement for a specific window, you only
have the option to set the upper-left window coordinate for any window.
The fixed window placement mode should be modified to support the general
placement modes listed above in addition to specified coordinate placement.
As it is, if I like totem to launch in the center of the screen always, while
having smart placement for all other windows, I must manually enter coordinates
for totem. However, totem auto-resizes to match the current video file, thus
making the window no longer centered the next time it launches.
