Patching is done and now there's no flatpak support[1] as well as snap,
fwupd and rpm.

Yes, it does.
If there's any "<pkgname>" that not in repositories,
it will be removed from xml by "appstream_fix.py". [2]

I think providing more than one tool for one purpose is better
because it leads to a freedom of choice
