Yes, I don't see how RPM is going to help.. but what I was hoping for is a web based PHP installer/configurator that works once you drop the files where you want them, and point your browser at it. Once config is done, it writes your config.php, and it deletes the installer files for security reasons. Many web apps have this to make installing something other than a chore.
