Hi all,

Excuse me to make some moral on how the list must be used. But someone
has to do it;)

FIRST. Many readers are using the text mode. Please configure your
mailer to insert ">" in texts when replying the mails. It is sometimes
difficult to understand the answers.

SECOND. Please recall that the title of the mails does care. You are not
discussing of the PAM module for Smack on Tizen (or conversely for Tizen
on Smack ;) Then it is a good thing to change the subject of the thread
in such case.

What is discussed here, with sometime some fierceness, is "SDBD versus
SSHD" but also "what softwares for developer?".

May I resume (and caricature) what were written?

Carsten wrote: SSH is well known, well tested and proven, very sure,
using cryptography and will be really appreciated by hackers (hey recall
that we all are hackers).

Casey wrote: SSH is a developer convenience. The device must not be
connected to Verizon or driving down CA-1.

Dominig wrote: SSH is needed for test and production.

Chengwei wrote: SDB is good enough and there is no need for SSH.

IMHO, SDB is integrated with the developer tools and that is really
good. But it is not sure at all: you can become root on the device
without being asked for any password, just a USB cable is needed. Also
SDB is a component that is not common, not proven, not linked to PAM,
and, that must be maintained at our cost. Just my 2 coins.

Best regards
José
