​Yes this is one of the things we have discussed in CE Group, we have not
approached it yet in GENIVI purely because of the complexity, there is a
significant amount of logic involved in choosing which file you choose to
show, The Logic is something I/We want to look in to but have not started
yet. we need to do aggregation first and metadata enhancement.

This is more relevant where you have duplicate files on different devices
i.e. the same album or track on 2 different USB sticks, your issue is
slightly simpler, you are accessing the Same media Twice, you could
implement some logic that looks at the devices, if you have DLNA and USB
media from the same device you may probably ignore the DLNA assuming you
can robustly tell that the device and server are same thing, the same will
happen on phones where you have iAP and DLNA Running, or Android with MTP
and DLNA. We do not do Bluetooth indexing yet but if we do we have the
potential for duplicating the database 3 times ;)
