Yes, of course, the maintainers should do the update.
I invite you to push your branch in sandbox,
Ie : git push tizen HEAD:sandbox/leonanavi/devel
And let maintainer rebase on top of it ...
Lets see who things will go with the maintainers and we will figure it
out. Based on my experience from yesterday the update to both 1.16 and
1.17 seems easy and painless.
