If you are not interested in maintaining 1.x, please give it away (to another pmc or add pmc members) and that is it.
Even if you all vote for option 1, then I would just reincubate 1.x or find an alternative route to make 1.2.18, 1.2.19 and so on. So what is the point of this vote then? You can't really prevent 1.2.18, 1.2.19, ... Vladimir
