I think you misunderstood my position. Scott has been asked at least once a
year on average on whether we should retire Chainsaw. I asked that question of
him many times. Every time he has been asked he has said something to the
effect of “I don’t have a lot of time but I will commit to supporting
Chainsaw”. In addition others have stepped up to contribute to it to help out.
So long as a component has 1 PMC member who is dedicated to maintaining a
component I will not support retiring it.
