Solr has an {noformat}EarlyTerminatingCollector{noformat} which operates across
segments, a Lucene abstract base class
{noformat}EarlySegmentTerminatingCollector{noformat} (or some other name) could
make the distinction between the two terminating collector varieties clearer.
