Do be aware that this is significantly painful for a number of organizations. I
agree that we _can't_ be hobbled by some Solr user out there who refuses/can't
migrate to Java8. But this is a 6 month process involving 8 different
departments for some organizations.
So I'm just sayin' be prepared for a number of requests to "backport JIRAs to
Solr 5.3 since we have to stay on Java 7 please". We're not obligated to do
that of course.
