[~shalinmangar] Attached a patch for you that should apply cleanly to trunk. It
rolls up all the intermediate changes we've made AND has some special logging
in IndexFetcher to show which of the chained calls generates the null pointer
exception, and it's:
solrcore.getUpdateHandler().getUpdateLog() that's generating the exception
Just look for the initials EOE line 290 or so. Obviously that shouldn't be
committed ;)
Applying this patch to trunk should be used as a base for ongoing work, I've
been meaning to commit it for a while but haven't gotten to the bottom of the
test failures we were having before the null pointer issue cropped up. I'll be
happy to coordinate that whenever.
