minor tweaks to ishan's last patch...
* updated to master (some compliation failures due to other jiras getting
commited)
* refactored TestInPlaceUpdate
** testReplay3 & testReplay4 reproduce the previously mentioned failure that
required using the external file.
** you can still refer to external files i nteh same format via
"testReplayFromFile" but only if a sys prop is set...{noformat}
