Putting it in extraction just because they share one jar is bad practice, it
breaks the cohesion of that contrib. It should be a separate contrib, if any.
I would (again) propose for this to be published as a jar plugin plugin in its
own GitHub repo or elsewhere outside the ASF. Then, if it gets very popular and
people for some reason want it into the core product, then we could have
another discussion. This is the same adoption pattern that e.g. Solr Cell once
took.
