OK, in that case my PR is ready for perusal again. Changes:
* removed from core; add to the extraction contrib
* removed solrconfig-xlsxresponsewriter.xml; added just the few lines needed to
setup the wt to the extraction solrconfig.xml as a non-default writer
* Trimmed some surplus tests from the test file
It stands at 702 lines added now of which 419 are the writer itself.
