Jan Høydahl commented on SOLR-9640:
-----------------------------------
Regarding use of host and port from CloudConfig, those are set from
env.variables {{SOLR_HOST}} and {{SOLR_PORT}} in {{solr.in.*}}, so guess no
problem. I could of course read these as {{System.getProperty("host")}} and
{{System.getProperty("jetty.port")}} to avoid the cloud namespace, but that may
not be all that important?
And wrt detecting {{urcScheme}}, I wonder why SolrCloud needs a clusterProp for
this? Could not each node assume *https* if {{solr.jetty.keystore}} is set,
that would be one less thing to configure...

> While working with SOLR-9481 I managed to secure Solr standalone on a
> single-node server. However, when adding
> {{&shards=localhost:8081/solr/foo,localhost:8082/solr/foo}} to the request, I
> get 401 error. This issue will fix PKI auth to work for standalone, which
> should automatically make both sharding and master/slave index replication
> work.
