FWIW: now that SOLR-10864 has landed on master, I'm probably going to abandon
the jira/SOLR-10807 branch (which has served it's purpose for experimentation)
and move forward with multiple individual sub-tasks focusing on adding the
(new) randomized variables into more and more schema files/tests in small
chunks untill we have them everywhere.
