At some point it constructs a plane that the edgepoint is not inside. When
that happens, the circle becomes invalid.
I'm going to instrument the plane approximation to make sure they make sense,
and to see at what point this goes bad. If it occurs after many iterations, I
would conclude that numeric imprecision is the problem.
