They look quite complimentary, one for people who like command-lines, and the other for people exploring Solr.
I do wonder how far down this road we could go? Imagine a page in the admin UI that showed a view of the commands through introspection and clicking on one auto-generated a form to fill in with the options. It could even be simpler than that. Click on a command and get a single entry box with the parameters and their meanings displayed in plain-text. I don't know whether security concerns would nuke that idea or not, though. Free form stuff passed on to Solr and all that. First step would be just listing them of course, bells and whistles can come later. Sounds like a JIRA to me, I'll raise one. Erick.
