I would like to raise awareness of a recent feature that a number of us are actively working on atm - “add higher quantization level for kNN vector search #13650" [1]. We’re optimistically targeting this for Lucene 10 (and likely backport to 9.12). I added it to the 10.0.0 milestone, we can reevaluate later when more progress has been made. -Chris.
