Hi all, Following up on the recent discussion about disabling connecting components work in HNSW: https://github.com/apache/lucene/pull/14436. We’ve mentioned that we might want to revert this change in 9.12 and consider doing a bug fix release. I’d like to propose that we move forward with this. Given that this bug impacts HNSW merging significantly, it seems valuable to ensure that users on the 9.12 branch have a safe upgrade path.
