hey folks, now that we have everything under codec control and norms are cut over to docvalues I wonder what keeps us from moving towards a 4.0 beta release. IMO its more than time to get it out there and from a technical perspective we are close enough to take that step. We need to figure out how we are doing this release, ie. are we releasing a beta (we have never done this since I have been around though) I recall that robert had some good ideas about this but can't find them right now. I think we should get this going so I wonder if people have any blockers or strong opinions?
