This info has all been captured in various Jira issues, but i wanted to
explicitly call out a few things...
1) The Solr Ref Guide donated by LucidWorks is now live at the ASF...

2) The content of the guide is ready for edits and improvements,
particularly arround new features since 4.3 that will be going into Solr
4.4. There are likely still markup problems and plugin issues that should
be noted, but we should hold off on trying to fix most of these until the
currently in process INFRA upgrade of COnfluence is finished -- use
SOLR-4957 to log any problems you noticed not specifically realted to
content correctness.
3) Per discussion about the plan to formally "release" this guide, editing
is only permitted for committers, but all registered users may comment on
pages with suggestions for improvements. COmmitters should review
SOLR-4888 for hte process to get edit access.
4) there is still plenty of outstanding work on my plate to get the
overall process for managing/editing/releasing this guide running
somoothly -- see SOLR-4618 and it's child issues for more details -- but
i'm holding off on a lot of details until the confluence upgrade is
finished, and i'm also getting ready to move next week, so my progress
in general will be sporadic and spotty over the next 14-21 days.
