AFAIK the vote thread was held on Dev, not private. So, no, as a PMC
member, I was not aware.

I am unsure - I can basically start a vote on a publicly subscribed mailing
list, suggesting that we shut down the project, and get a bunch of Co
workers to give +1s. Then, I send a note to the board.

What part of The Apache Way am I missing?
