It looks like both the old and new site still exist in the directory
people.apache.org:/www/mahout.apache.org -- the old site pages are the ones
that contain the incorrect information.
The new site is in https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/mahout/site/new_site --
it's a single page and some images.
The old forrest site in https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/mahout/site -- the
forrest input is in src and output would get written to publish, checked in and
then synced over to people.apache.org:/www/mahout.apache.org (by hand I think)
One approach would be to simply clean out
people.apache.org:/www/mahout.apache.org and copy in only the new site, but
this would result in some serious link breakage. Perhaps we could do a custom
404 page to redirect people arriving via those links to the new site.
An alternative would be to update the old forrest site to contain the correct
information and push this back out to people.apache.org:/www/mahout.apache.org,
along with the updated information we add a banner to the forrest pages
pointing people to the new site.
A further option is to simply set up the redirects by hand -- that would
involve hand editing approximately 8 pages, not a big deal. Likely the best
approach here would be to add the redirects to the new_site directory so that
they simply overwrite the existing forrest generated pages when copied up to
people.apache.org:/www/mahout.apache.org
