You might want to start by looking at our "how to contribute" page: <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/MAHOUT/How+To+Contribute> There's also a few suggestions in <http://markmail.org/message/jhdjlrom2jvcjx5v> I think best for you could be to start with documentation (both on the wiki and in the code) and writing a few tests where coverage is still lacking. Then start looking into the collaborative filtering implemenations in Mahout if that is the area you are most interested in. Isabel
