I'd be careful with Guava. Hadoop itself still uses Guava 11.0.2, even the
latest versions. This means that within the Hadoop environment, code will
actually be linking to Hadoop's 11.0.2. Anything new since 11 will fail. This
can be OK if you know that you're not using anything since 11, and need newer
versions of existing methods that include a fix. On the flipside there's a
chance that some other method subtly changed behavior.
