"Also, does your server-side implementation use Content Iterators, as
described here? Further research indicates that the problem is that the
rowlimit doesn't actually count towards limiting the request size (!)"
"No. it doesn't. It just uses the SPQuery object, sets the proper params
(rowlimit, paging, etc) and sets the QueryThrottleMode property to
SPQueryThrottleOption.Override. This did the trick, so I didn't use the
content iterators; although, my understanding was that should work."
