I tried a different rss feed and its working! (a feed directly from the events
server)
That first link was an rss feed but it's being formatted into a IBM WCM portal
page. Can manifold crawl an IBM portal?
I vaguely remember someone telling me to make sure the web crawler is "portal
friendly"
