Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-664:
----------------------------------------

I don't understand how come the server user name has the domain on the front at
all.
In order for the check to do anything we have to try *some* user name, or it's
not a useful check. I don't have any other user name around, and I cannot
easily tell whether the server user name is a straight livelink user name or
not. I mean, I could look for the "\" and try to separate it that way, but I
have no idea how that would work in other LiveLink installations. Or, I could
try to look for a user and not fail whether or not the user exists, just so
long as I get no other error.

I think for now I will try the latter.

> David Morana has requested that the livelink connector be modified to support
> Livelink's SSL communication protocols. This will involve a cert for this
> purpose, as well as be enabled by selection, so there are UI changes
> required. There is also another LAPI jar involved: llssl.jar
