Maciej Lizewski commented on CONNECTORS-736:
--------------------------------------------
some LDAP servers need authentication in order to perform any query. This
process is called "binding" to LDAP server and you need to provide valid user
and password that will be used to connect to server and query it. It should not
be confused with username which is subject to the query and whose access tokens
should be returned.
I do not clearly understand if you finally made the connector working properly
for you or you need further assistance? What about the user ID you mentioned?
if this is the userID required to connect to AD server then you should put it
in "bind as user" field.

> Project: ManifoldCF
> Issue Type: Wish
> Components: LDAP authority
> Reporter: Muhammad Ahsan

> Priority: Minor
> Labels: newbie

> Operating System: Windows 7 (64-bit)
> Using: Manifold 1.2
> Description: Been trying to connect company wiki with ManifoldCF, we use
> secure-sso. Keep getting "Error: Unexpected response code 302:" when I use
> the LDAP connection I created with the wiki page repository. And a "Threw
> exception: 'Communication error: localhost:389'" with the authority
> connector. Does any one have a link to a good tutorial for setting up the
> LDAP connection with manifold or any tips?
