Hi Sophie, good to see you here. > Ok, we (NLC), for several of us, have association/foundation that allow > us to have our own business cards, banners, T-shirts, cds... and didn't > ask or wait any permission from the OOo project. I think we can agree. You see, I don't mean to say that the art project is not useful. Or any other project. What I object to is holding everthing back to get approval. If the art project wants to do a design for business cards, I think that's fantastic. But I don't think we should need to wait for their approval to do business cards now. > >One of the biggest problems with this project is this insane need to try > >to make one design that fits all purposes and is approved by everyone. > > No, don't see it like this, see it as a reference marketingbase where > every project can *confidently* pick what he needs, knowing that it has > been 'approved' by the MP. That's something I can agree with. Having designs and logos from [EMAIL PROTECTED] is good. But in their absence, we shouldn't paralize a project. I also understand your point about having one voice. I guess what I want is for it to not be over-done. It's a matter of degree. Something like a splash screen, which is "set" for all OOo and can't be changed easily, should go through [EMAIL PROTECTED] But something as tiny as business cards should have more freedom and flexibility. > I agree with you about that should not slow the process. Ok. Point taken.
