Hello

Did you give Anthony Long CVS access to stats.openoffice.org ?

Not related to the main part of this message, but if you check: http://stats.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectMemberList you will see Anthony (adlopen) listed as a Project Owner.

I will also add, that if Anthony is joining the Stats Project to work
with Louis on the weekly stats, then it is up to Anthony to see to the
resources he needs to fulfil that role. And I'm sure Louis will assist
him with this.

If you do, then you'll be able to forget about stats and focus your time on all the other things that need to get done.

Mmm, I think I read very recently if not on this list, definitely on another OOo list, that noone here can direct others to particular tasks.

As long as only a small number of people can actually change anything, nothing will ever get done around here. I should make a presentation about that.

Then please present it to the CC or the OOo Project Leads. We have more people able to implement and integrate changes than many other OSS projects see: http://incubator.openoffice.org/, http://projects.openoffice.org/native-lang.html, and http://projects.openoffice.org/accepted.html

About how the number of paths of communication increases with the square of the membership, so if you don't increase the number of people who can take action you just end up with a major bottleneck.

Many of the bottlenecks that I'm aware of are due to PLs and core team members required to divert their efforts and energy to respond to antagonism and negativity.

At least on this list and other MP lists, as far as I can tell, you are
the one who initiates the antagonistic style. Perhaps you do it out of
frustration. That is no excuse. If your ideas are good, and executable,
and many of them are, then they will find their way on the project. This
is generally true of any one's ideas, at least within the OOo community.

Keep in mind that this list is subscribed to by many. It is meant to be
a friendly place where ideas are discussed and debated freely. In order
to make sure that we hear other voices, there are processes--and there
is politeness. That is, be polite, be helpful. I will also add, tackle
the issue not the person.

Btw, this as all lists on the OpenOffice.org project abides by the
Mailing Lists guidelines:

All the best
