Both seem to me related to Marko's observation about Jungner at YLE and
part of a larger, international trend.
One problem is the potential risk (or actualized risk in the first
example) for the spread of vendor specific, DRM'd formats and protocols
which can be used to lock user data and by extension user platforms into
that vendor. It is something that does adversely affect the ablility or
willingness to use OOo or its formats.
The second problem is that news editors and reporters are less likely to
want to step on the toes of collaborators or major advertising accounts by
reporting unfavorable viewpoints or certain topics.

Software patents kill innovation and harm all Net-based business.
Keep them out of the EU by writing your MEP, keep the market open.

thanks for this account. I'll forward it to

Your story is highly interesting, it's made of both victories and
successes. But in short, it seems, as Lars pointed out, to be a problem
of lobbying and communication.
How could this be overcome in Finland? What can the OOo finnish-speaking
community do about this?
Best,
Charles.
