Hi all,

For the past week I have tried to find out something more about OOo and especially about its community. I found it a closed community at first... Now I am losing track... The thing really needs guidance... At least marketing project does.

Yes, more guidance, to help people find their way and direct their energy as good as possible in a direction that meets the interest of both the individual and the community.

And more direct report of activities from the NL/MarCons. Rather than trying to compose a 'regular' report.

I suggested some things that can help the product, and thus the community.
I've read them with recognition.

One reason I do not look at the Development side of OOo is that I find it a job well done...

I do not like ideas similar to going JamboOffice style :) But hey...
I understand the very close link to StarOffice... (Why do OpenOffice and StarOffice Icons look so similar? Is their a commercial reason? Can anyone explain me the relationship between OOo and SO? And mostly: who's first whit what. Important to me.)
- The code is first. That is the OOo project.
- Then there are the release candidates. Is the OOo project.
- And then the split comes: the releases. As things go like I noticed, I think StarOffice has a more stream-lined release-proces that the OOo has. StarOffice is a few day's ahead.

If I am goint to work for Sun :) They'll have to pay me my regular fee :)
I cannot look to Sun's accounts, however I'm not sure that what they do for the project, is less than, or unreasonable compared with, what I do. Not at all.

So, I hope to find some answers...
So far my knowledge.

Greetings,
Cor
