Minor correction: Friends of OpenDocument Inc (FoOD) is not a company limited by guarantee, because that would have cost over $1000 AUD to set up. It is an "incorporated association", which cost a bit over $100 AUD to register. However, the result is much the same: an organisation that is allowed to make money but not give it to the members.

Ooops, my bad. It looks like the Australian "incorporated association" is roughly equivalent to the UK "limited by guarantee". Because the UK one is also about 50 GBP to setup.

Cheers,
Daniel.
