Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
I feel very sorry, this solution can only work on windows and ce now. but in
future it will work on other systems.

As OpenOffice.org is a multi platform office suite it would serve better for our purposes if your solution could be used at least on Linux and Max OS X too.

It seems to be a good idea to download software via P2P without needing to install a client first. But if I understand you right, that's only for download - people are not asked if they want to share with others what they have got?

This takes load from our download servers - but I don't know if P2P will work as it is designed, when lots of people use it for download only without becoming seeders.

It is able to download from seeders of
any other systems or clients.
If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.

What's about the license?

Your homepage write for the standard BitComet software that it is free for no commercial use, but (correct me if I'm wrong) every user "in support of any commercial entity or activity" needs a written agreement of BitComet.

Will this be the same with BitCometLite? As we don't do any differentiation between commercial and non-commercial use of OpenOffice.org it will become quite problematic including this program in any OpenOffice.org distribution.

It's a good approach to have a download program being able to get the latest stable release of OpenOffice.org (probably we'll have to rename the files accordingly), but in the moment these points hinder us (just my personal opinion!) to use and promote it.

If you'll be able to provide your program for Linux and Mac OS X too, and if you consider using a free license
(at least like CC by-nd http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/2.5/,
better LGPL http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/lesser.html) your proposal would probably get much more positive attention.

Best regards

Bernhard
