The FAQ could say that "Open Office" (with the space) is trademarked in Benelux. The way the FAQ is written is, AFAIK, wrong ("OpenOffice" is not owned, but "Open Office" is). Also, stating *where* it is owned makes it more useful.

I agree that it would be a step in the right direction if the faq was clearer in respect to exactly what the trademark issue is.

I also think - as already stated - that it would be even better if we wrote in the faq that the name was deliberately chosen (for some reasons that the .org-pro's will probably give us), and not chosen because someone else had already taken the name that we would have preferred.

Anyway, I can understand from my corespondance with Open Office that the company would in fact be open to a negotiation with Sun about the name issue, meaning that IF we (and Sun) really wanted a rebranding the trademark issue could be solved.

Best regards,

Finn
