Sir,

To promotion worldwide there is serious need of localisation of Open
Office. Developing countries like India needs complete solution as far as
office automation is concern. It is essential to have a office suite on
every machine. But due to hight cost of Softwares it is still beyond reach
of common people.

The localisation of office suite doesnot means only changing the menus name
into respective langauage but there certian issues to be sorted out. As you
know now Indian languages are available in Unicode Character Set. But the
problem in using unicode characters are that the typewriter layout are not
available in most of the cases. So Government Sector, Big Institutions
started buying the Microsoft Office Suites which comes with the facility of
typewriter layout for unicode characters.

I request you to kindly take into consideration the issues of availability
of different layouts for the unicode characters. I am on my personal level
working on this issue & got solution which enables users to type unicode
characters by using typewriter layout. It is just like other non-unicode
script manager available in Indian Market.
