the marketing effort has paid off, and there are requests to become
community distributors on the mailing lists at
http://distribution.openoffice.org
But the rules state that distributors must get "permission" to use
logos etc.
Unfortunately there are no permissions being granted lately, so the
process is self-defeating. Potential new distributors are being cut
off at their moment of greatest enthusiasm.
I suggest the distribution rules be changed to require only
"notification" that the logs are being used.
Something like "permission is granted if you notify the mailing list
and comply to the rules".
By the way this is not a criticism of any person - it is the process
that needs to be fixed ;)
