Thing is that people will quite happily download acrobat reader or
inkscape at around 20 meg each but balk at OOo. While some of this might
well be the "Office" factor some of the reluctance must also be the size
of the code.

But most Linux distros come with OOo so if you are prepared to download
a Linux ISO and install you are not going to be put off by OOo. I think
the code size thing is fairly irrelevant to take up on Linux (apart from
people with either meagre hardware or who like AbiWord, Kword or some
other free software because it takes up less resource, is mor elegant
solution etc not really because of the download size. Download size is
an issue for take up on Windows though. I have no idea about the Mac.
I'm guessing Solaris is Star Office and Sun supported in any case.
