Sounds excellent, go for it.

i am not sure which topics will you cover but is always useful for both, the community and the audience to point out the communciation chanels that we use to connect with them.

Hi Alexandro and Claus,

One of the goals I am setting for myself with this presentation is to make an audio recording of it and have it available via the OpenOffice.org website. I have access to a pocket size digital recorder with lapel mic. So I've got the hardware to do it. I'll just have to actually perform the recording and see how it turns out afterwards. I also plan to make the Impress slides available for the presentation as well.

Feel free to contact me if either of you have any other questions, thoughts or suggestions.

Best regards,

Hi Gabrielle, I wonder if Marketing people can help you, and having
someone record the talk. This is something that we definetly can re-use
and have it online. I have given OOo in education talks and I am sure I
would want to see this online somewhere.

Please let us know how we can help you get your session recorded and online.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you all know that I will be giving a presentation at the 2009 Vermont Open Source and Education Conference in Fairlee, Vermont USA titled "OpenOffice.org in an Educational Environment". This annual conference will be held on Friday, April 10 and is co-sponsored by the National Center for Open Source and Education (NCOSE) and the Vermont Information Technology Association.

My presentation will specifically be of interest to educators and school IT staff interested in using OpenOffice.org for instructional purposes. In my presentation, I will discuss the following: - an overview of the various applications bundled into the office suite - licensing related to distributing software to students and other users
 - cross-platform capabilities with various operating systems
 - file exchange with other office productivity suites
- deploying OpenOffice.org in an academic lab and staff work environment - special considerations to assess before deploying OpenOffice.org on a large-scale
 - and much more...

For more information about the conference, including registration details, visit the NCOSE website at http://www.ncose.org/node/47.
