I basically share your feelings. I guess it will be a challenge for the future to also define clear rules on that. With the summer internship programme and the documentation bounty project, we in fact do cover time and work, but I agree that this should be a rare case. Otherwise, I could name 50 people whose time and work needs to be paid for...
