Ahh, I can't type :-(. In the issue had I *meant* to write

"I have installed the repository jars
xdoclet/jars/xdoclet-ejb-module-1.2b4.jar and
xdoclet/jars/xjavadoc-1.0.jar"

In this circumstance it goes off trying to find

xdoclet-xjavadoc-1.0.jar

whereas it should just go for xjavadoc-1.0.jar in the xdoclet/jars repository.

Hope thats clearer :-)

[PS. I see that someone has installed xdoclet and xjavadoc in the ibiblio, and they
have added it as xdoclet-xjavadoc-1.0.jar. They should have called it just
xjavadoc-1.0.jar without the prefix]

Here is an overview of the issue:

        Key: MAVEN-575
    Summary: Plugin loading : prefixing of groupId incorrectly
       Type: Bug

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Major

 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: maven
   Fix Fors:
             1.0-rc1
   Versions:
             1.0-beta-10

Environment: Linux 2.4.21

Description:
I have the following dependencies in my project.xml
<dependency>
??? <groupId>xdoclet</groupId>
??? <artifactId>xdoclet-ejb-module</artifactId>
??? <version>1.2b4</version>
??? <url>http://xdoclet.sourceforge.net/</url>
??? </dependency>
<dependency>
??? <groupId>xdoclet</groupId>
??? <artifactId>xjavadoc</artifactId>
??? <version>1.0</version>
??? <url>http://xdoclet.sourceforge.net/</url>
</dependency>

I have installed the repository jars
xdoclet/jars/xdoclet-ejb-module-1.2b4.jar and
xdoclet/jars/xjavadoc-1.2b4.jar

When I try "maven clean" it finds the first of these, yet on the second it complains
that it cant find xdoclet-xjavadoc-1.0.jar

If I add the line <jar>xjavadoc-1.0.jar</jar> to the second dependency it doesnt
improve either ... still looking for xdoclet-xjavadoc-1.0.jar
